Corruption Report: Administrative Conduct. In 2007 TI Poland research group conducted a sociological survey: Corruption Report. It was designed to point out the main sources of corruption in the administrative conduct. The project involved 14
members of the TI Poland’s team (members of the organization and volunteers of the
ALAC program).
The survey has been conducted using the methodology created in TI Poland by the previous projects related to sociological data (e.g. access to public information, TTA).
The survey was conducted in July 2007 and it was containing elements as: online questionnaires and phone interview type CATI (Computer Assisted Personal Interview).
The Report that we published contained also the overview of the cases submitted to our ALAC Program in relation to the statistics concerning administrative, civil and penal law proceedings.
The conducted sociological survey and other activities has outlined the corruption risk areas in Poland. It has been confirmed, that in Poland e.g. there is no urban planning system, and the decisions making process concerning town planning relays only on the
Building Supervision officials.
The results of this survey have given us the idea to conduct the watchdog activities in the area of the greatest risk. Currently we are working on the risk mapping methodology and possibilities of accomplishing a project in this field.
